Directors and members of the Dominican Community Center

The Dominican Community Center established as its main objectives:

  1. To organize and strengthen the Dominican community that lives in the state of Connecticut, to help become a better segment of the population in general and by default creating a more attractive community for all.

  2. To Inform our community, as well as offer opportunities in the areas of education, culture, sports, and entertainment to the members of the center, their families, and the community in general.

  3. To carry out activities that highlight the name of our country of origin, in the United States of America.

  4. To create a structure that facilitates various exchanges between Dominicans living in the state of Connecticut, the Dominican Republic, and the world.

It is part of our goal to maintain special attention and support for the education of our young people, trying to instill in them a love for their own culture; respect, love, and appreciation for our host country; to value the importance of education and respect for American laws, as well as the need to live in peaceful coexistence for personal and collective growth.

These goals must be realized through program organizations, seminars, focus groups; exhibitions; cultural, musical, and sporting events; community services and traditional activities.

All members of the Dominican Community Center are committed to working together to strengthen our community and create a family friendly environment that sets an example for all.
